How to SearchSearch by Keyword or use our Advanced search functionality. Keyword search allows you to search all fields. Advanced search allows you to narrow your search to a specific field. You can also browse the collection using the Random Images or Objects features. Searches use OR to connect words (e.g., a search for Sarah Peck will return records associated with Sarah OR Peck). If you want to find records where both words are included, type AND between the two words. To search for a specific phrase, put the phrase in quotes (e.g., "Lady Elgin"). You can also use the asterisk (*) as a wild card (e.g., a search for and* would come up with records containing Andy, Anderson, andiron, etc.). Searches are not case sensitive.
