Black and white photographic print of the Chicago North Shore & Milwaukee Railroad Co.'s old North Shore Line Elm Street Station located at the corner of Elm Street and Lincoln Avenue. The view is taken from northwest of the station across the train tracks which are in the foreground. The print is dated June 4, 1925. (See, 2342.03 for a print of the replacement station in 1926.) The one-room, frame station sits atop a wooden platform. Mechanical crossing guards can be seen on either side of Elm Street to the south of the station, and commercial buildings surround it. |
