Description |
Black and white photographic print with negative of a muddy, unpaved street running east through a commercial/residential area. This is No 5 of a series of prints taken by F.A.W. in 1910/1911. A horse and buggy can be seen in the distance. On the left (north) is a commercial building with an attached greenhouse and surrounding utility poles; on the right (south) are several houses elevated above street level with steps leading up to the yards. A handwritten noted at the bottom reads: No 5 Pine St. at Birch" and dates the print at 4/21/1910. Directions are noted in the margins. A second note, found on the back reads: "Pine Street at Birch" and dates the print at 4/21/1910. A third handwritten note, also on the back, reads: "Looking East to Green Bay Rd, Willson house at right." A fourth note on the back reads: "Ilg Florist on left." |
